Energy production with SOLAR PV
Solar power for electricity production was discovered in 1800’s. In last 2- 3 years it has been possible for home owners to produce energy. Solar PV is capable of producing energy even if the sun is not shining. Power generated is converted to usable mains electricity; it connects to the existing system directly and is free to use. Solar PV is fitted on the roof and its meter is fixed near the existing electricity meter.
Working of solar PV: Most popular form of solar energy is photovoltaic solar panels. Electricity is generated from the sunlight. Photovoltaic generates maximum amount of solar energy around the world. Photons which are small particles of energy constitute sunlight. These photons get absorbed and are passed through the solar PV. The material of photovoltaic cell is agitated by the photons. They are routed into a current as they begin to move. Hence electricity is produced; electrons move along a path. These electrons are conducted to batteries or electrical systems of the house by the wires. It is then used by electrical appliances in the household. The energy is also stored in the batteries for later use in many solar systems. This happens when the sun shines strongly.
